Today with the announcement of new Facebook Places Deals, we are blessed with updates to iPhone and Android apps.

Here is a quick look at the new iOS app.

First look at the new app and you notice that the Photo, Status, and Place features all have dedicated button at the top of the app.  Basically as far as I can tell the functionality of these buttons stays the same as previous versions of the iPhone app.

I guess the big change in the app is the ability to view, post, and comment to your groups.  This is a good addition because the previous app would not let you do this.

Overall I think this is a nice update and I’m looking forward to seeing the Facebook Places Deals go mainstream.
